![]() Those regions have their own schools after all. This is me suggesting that characters would more likely be from East Asia, Southeast Asia, or even the Indian subcontinent as they would be from North America, South America, or Europe. Since this RP is set in the Harry Potter universe but also a magical academy set in Japan there was discussion of those oft-maligned things known as 'face claims'.You have a question? Fire away! You want to plan an event or something? By all means let's hear it and see how we can make it work! My door is always open for my players. Communication is essential in an RP like this and I will always opt to discuss any details no matter how small they may seem. My inbox here or on Discord (in the event of a Discord being made for this RP) is always open so feel free to come to me with questions, concerns, or anything of the sort. There are some rules, of course, but generally I'm not super strict. ![]() It is absolutely my intention to make it so no student - and by association an RPer - feels left out. There will be 'events' such as trips to Tokoro Town - think of it as this school's version of Hogsmeade - or school wide social events, and I encourage people to suggest any ideas they feel might enhance or add to the RP. Voldemort wasn't the immediate presence in Book One, but there where still whispers, as an example of the type of tone. While there might be whispers and mentions of darker things going on, the majority of this RP will be students interacting and growing as both people and wizards. But on the whole this is meant to be an RP where we as a group make our own stories of witchcraft and wizardry in a different corner of the Harry Potter world.Īs such, this RP will not immediately be about students confronting evil wizards. While the courses might be familiar, the school shouldn't be because we'll be exploring it together! Some familiar trappings will be there. Moreover, I'm not simply trying to have it be Hogwarts but with a Japanese coat of paint. Which is to say that though this is a school where magical girls attend, it isn't some magical girl school. There isn't a whole lot of established lore or 'canon' with the Mahoutokoro setting so some liberties were taken though it is my, and my co-GM's intention, to keep it close to authentic as we can. ![]() Mahoutokoro is established as one of the schools for young witches and wizards in the Harry Potter universe and will be the setting for this RP. Which, of course, is where this RP comes in! Me and my co-GM have been discussing and planning this RP and we are both excited to finally let it spread its wings! And while I respect that and totally love the Hogwarts setting, there are other schools out there with their own stories to tell. But when it comes to Harry Potter RPs I've always found an overabundance of stories set in Hogwarts either post-Potter, the era of the Marauders, or even some AU shenanigans. Thank you for expressing an interest or even just skimming through! My name is Fabricant451 and as someone that grew up with the Harry Potter books and later movies, I've always enjoyed the world. Students of Fu are said to be the kindest of all the houses and possessed of a certain wisdom all their own. In some ways, it seems the location of the school would better fit as a tourist location, but it has stood here for longer than anyone can remember, and its a tradition now and the Japanese people take their traditions very seriously.įor now, if you want to see the cherry blossom trees, the shining palace, or even walk across the wide bridges, you’ll have to be a student here.įu: Represented by the eternally moral Byakko, those in the house of Fu represent the free flowing spirit of the wind, for better and for worse. Vast wooden bridges connect the palace to the other parts of the island, giving stunning views of the incredibly scenic island. ![]() Groves of cherry blossom trees surround the palace, enchanted to bloom far more often than their mainland counterparts. The palace is crafted mutton-fat jade, sections of it seem almost translucent, and the palace seems to always be glowing in the warmth of the sun. Hidden from the naked eye by different charms and clever uses of illusory magic, the Mahoutokoro School of Magic utilizes the entire island, and even some of its surrounding oceans for its various teachings.Ītop the highest point of the island, built to ‘pierce the heavens’ by its founders, is the Mahoutokoro Palace. Minami Iwo Jima is home to the Mahoutokoro School of Magic, an ancient school dedicated to teaching students from the continent of Asia the art of witchcraft and wizardry. From the distance most non-magical people see it at, the island of Minami Iwo Jima is unremarkable, and isn’t worth traveling out through stormy, treacherous seas to explore.
